Luxardo Del Santo Herbal Liqueur 750mL

Founded in 1821, Luxardo is one of Italy's most historic family-owned distilleries, renowned worldwide for its Maraschino liqueur and premium spirits. Produced in Torreglia, Veneto, Del Santo is crafted from a closely guarded recipe featuring more than 20 herbs, roots, and spices, including achillea moscata, galangal, mace, cinnamon, clove, and aromatic calamus. Bottled at 40% ABV, it offers a distinctly Italian interpretation of the alpine herbal liqueur style, making it an excellent alternative to Chartreuse while maintaining its own unique identity. Del Santo is equally at home as an after-dinner digestif or as a complex modifier in classic and contemporary cocktails.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Complex aromas of thyme, sage, mint, anise, vanilla, dried herbs, and warm baking spices with subtle floral notes.

Palate: Rich and layered, with flavours of honey, citrus peel, gentian, licorice, alpine herbs, mint, cinnamon, and earthy spice balanced by a refined bittersweet character.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering herbal complexity, cooling mint, gentle spice, and a pleasantly bittersweet finish.
