MacNair’s Lum Reek 10 YO Cask Strength Batch 1 (Glenallachie)

MacNairs Lum Reek Cask Strength Batch 1 is an excellent 10-year-old Scotch blended malt whiskey from the first batch. It is a stunning blend of the best Speyside and Islay single malt whiskies, including aged GlenAllachie. This combination resulted in a fine peat mixture, which is rich but above all perfectly balanced. But thats not all. The mixture still awaits 10 years of aging in different types of barrels. The first maturation takes place in premium ex-sherry Spanish casks. It is then filled into ex-wine barrique barrels and finally into virgin oak barrels in the cellars of the GlenAllachie distillery. Thanks to these barrels, the whiskey acquired an unmistakable taste of wood along with sweet but slightly smoky notes. The matured whiskey is then bottled with a natural 55.4 % alcohol content. It is without added dyes and cold filtration . The bottle is housed in a red-gold gift tube.
