Meiomi Pinot Noir

Meiomi was created with the goal of showcasing the complementary characteristics of California’s premier coastal Pinot Noir regions. The name β€œMeiomi,” meaning β€œcoast” in the language of the native Wappo tribe, reflects the winery’s focus on sourcing fruit from vineyards influenced by the Pacific Ocean.

The blend typically incorporates fruit from Sonoma County, Monterey County, and Santa Barbara County, each contributing distinct elements to the wine’s profile. Sonoma brings structure and richness, Monterey contributes freshness and vibrant fruit, while Santa Barbara adds aromatic lift and texture. The cool coastal climate and extended growing season allow Pinot Noir to ripen gradually while retaining balance and acidity.

Winemaking emphasizes consistency, accessibility, and a plush mouthfeel. Fermentation is followed by aging in oak, which contributes notes of vanilla, mocha, and baking spice while enhancing the wine’s smooth texture. The resulting style is generous and fruit-driven, designed for immediate enjoyment.
