Paraduxx 2022 Proprietary Red

Paraduxx, part of the Duckhorn Portfolio, was founded in Napa Valley in 1994 with a focus on innovative red blends that combine Bordeaux varieties with grapes such as Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. The winery became known for producing expressive, modern Napa blends emphasizing richness, texture, and approachability.
The 2022 Proprietary Red is built around a core of Cabernet Sauvignon (49%) supported by Merlot, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Petite Verdot, Syrah, and Malbec. The 2022 growing season in Napa Valley featured warm, consistent summer conditions followed by an early September heat spell, resulting in concentrated fruit flavours balanced by fresh acidity.

Colour: Deep ruby with purple reflections

Nose: Aromas of dark red cherry, black cherry, and black currant layered with baking spice, vanilla, sweet oak, and hints of cocoa

Palate: Full-bodied and richly textured, with flavours of blackberry, blueberry, plum, and mocha supported by supple tannins and lively acidity; subtle oak spice and dark chocolate notes add depth and polish

Finish: Long and smooth, with lingering dark fruit, spice, and refined oak undertones
