Alexandre Gabriel embarked on a daring journey to the remote Don José distillery, located amidst the regions lush greenery. There he discovered 22 exquisite barrels of Panama Vintage from 2010, which are characterized by the lush rainforests and rolling hills surrounding the distillery. The regions tropical climate and humid conditions contribute to the creation of this unique expression. Using Plantation Rum s double-aged technique, the Panama 2010 is first aged for eight years in Central America and then taken on a transatlantic sailing trip to southwest France, where it is aged in French oak barrels for a further five years. The result is a hand-picked, limited-edition rum that captivates the senses and pampers the palate.
