Poli “Secretary Of State” Pure Malt Whiskey

In 2013, a citizen of Schiavon, where the Poli distillery is based, was appointed Secretary of State of the Holy See, and the mayor of Schiavon proposed to Jacopo Poli to make a special distillate in his honor, thus whiskey was born Secretary of State . First whiskey from the Poli distillery, it is produced starting from a careful selection of Italian barley malt distilled with a bain-marie alembic still. A limited edition of 1898 bottles, which corresponds to the founding year of the distillery. Secretary of State is a pleasantly peaty whiskey, aged 5 years in oak barrels and 1 year in amarone barriques. Italian peaty whiskey with flavors of toasted nuts, raisins, plums, chocolate and smoked spices. It has a soft taste, to be enjoyed in relaxation and on special occasions.
