The whisky is the same recipe as the signature Isle of Raasay single malt, which matures peated and unpeated spirit separately in three distinct cask types – rye whiskey, virgin Chinkapin oak, and Bordeaux red wine. Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt Nose Sherried fruit, lemon peel, caramel, and honeyed nuts. Palate Woody spices, peat smoke, red wine, raisins, black pepper, and toffee. Finish Toasted almonds and marmalade.
