Royal Brackla 16 Year Old

The 16 year old release from the Royal Brackla single malt Scotch whisky range, and perhaps the pick of the bunch with an abundance of spicy Oloroso character. Its also beautifully presented, with a particularly large punt. Nose: Ripe red apple at first before thick crème brûlée takes charge with apricot, custard and a little Buttercup cough syrup. Palate: Spicy, caramelised apples and orchard fruit, vanilla and fresh black cherries. Finish: Rich cocoa and baking spices. Overall: Indulgent and regal chocolate spice character. - Master of Malt
