Speymalt from Macallan Distillery 2001 Cask #23602101 is an independent bottling from Gordon & MacPhail, one of Scotland's most established whisky bottlers and maturation specialists. Tasting Notes
Nose: Vibrant orange leads the aroma, joined by warming cinnamon and rich stewed raisin. The combination gives the whisky a distinctly mature sherry-cask character without losing its brighter citrus edge.

Palate: Brown sugar and dark chocolate bring considerable richness, followed by a noticeable kick of spicy pepper. At 58.6%, expect plenty of concentration and structure from both the spirit and its first-fill sherry hogshead.

Finish: Raspberry compote emerges on the finish, leaving a concentrated combination of ripe red fruit, sweetness and lingering spice.
