Tenuta Iuzzolini Grappa Maradea

Tenuta Iuzzolini is based in Cirò Marina on Calabria’s Ionian coast, an area closely associated with the indigenous Gaglioppo grape.

This grappa is made from the fresh pomace of 100% Gaglioppo used for the estate’s Maradea Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore Riserva. The fruit comes from Timpa Bianca in Cirò Marina, grown at 50–100 metres elevation on white clay soils.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Crystal clear.
Nose: Delicate elderflower, white-fleshed fruit and aromatic Mediterranean herbs.
Palate: Soft and harmonious, with clean fruit and floral notes reflecting the Gaglioppo pomace.
Finish: Smooth and aromatic, with lingering white fruit, herbs and gentle floral character.

Serve slightly chilled at 12–14°C. Best enjoyed neat as an after-dinner digestif. It also pairs well with almond biscotti, citrus desserts, white chocolate or fresh and semi-aged cheeses.
