The Senator Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey Tasting Notes : Aroma: a youthful floral nose with subtle notes of diet cola, black cherry and wet hay / cut grass. As the pour matures you pick up sweet herbal potpourri and butterscotch. Palate: nutty palate with notes of toffee, orange peel, herbs and light tobacco, with chocolate brownies and blackberry emerging with water Finish: Medium finish of rye spice and toasted almonds.
