2009 Gaudo Al Tasso (Magnum)

A careful selection first in the vineyard and then in the cellars,- both before and after de-stemming, – preceded a soft pressing of the grapes, harvested and fermented parcel by parcel fora whole series of different wines to blend.

A moderately warm fermentation used delicate extraction techniques to insure elegance and suppleness. Malolactic fermentation and 18 months of aging took place in small oak barrels. Ten months of bottle aging preceded the release.

On the nose the initial balsamic sensations are followed by aromas of ripe fruit and spices. The palate is velvety, with soft tannins and much finesse. The mouthfeel is well supported by savory mineral notes and a long persistent finish.

2014 Tenuta dell’Ornellaia “Ornellaia” Bolgheri Superiore

2014 was one of the most demanding years in our memory, and has allowed us to produce high quality wines that are offering great delight. The late ripening of the grapes allowed the fruit to fully express its liveliness and freshness. What is particularly striking is the high quality of the tannins on the palate; silky; refined, without rough edges. This year represents the heart of the estate, Ornellaia’s ‘Essence’: its natural style, the exceptional quality of its terroir, and the competence of those who work in the vineyards and the cellar.
Blend: 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 20% Petit Verdot, 14% Cabernet Franc

Aldegheri Amarone della Valpolicella Classico ‘Santambroggio’ DOCG 2015

Since 1956 this family business has been run by the same family. Seven family members are currently working in this special wine domain. They make a wide range of wines of which the Aldegheri Amarone della Valpolicella Classico ‘Santambroggio’ DOCG 2015 is one of the absolute toppers. With respect for old traditions, excellent balanced wines are produced in a modern way. Northwest of the beautiful city of Verona in the hills above Sant’Ambroggio in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico are the vineyards. The vineyards are on average 20 years old (running up to 35 years) and the vines are on a thin calcareous soil. This Italian powerful red wine is produced according to the traditional method. After the alcoholic fermentation, the young wine matures for about 24 months in large Slovenian oak barrels, followed by a barrel aging of 12 months on French oak barriques with a final bottle aging of 8 months.

Allegrini – La Grola Valpolicella

Altesino Brunello Di Montalcino

Brunello di Montalcino is the ambassador of top quality Italian wines around the world, the first wine to receive the DOCG appellation. Brunello is a brilliant ruby red colour, tending towards garnet red with age. Its bouquet is intense, pure, pleasant and refined, reminiscent of sweet violet, tobacco, chocolate and pleasant hints of wild berries and vanilla. Its flavour fully confirms the above in a well-balanced, full-bodied wine with good tannins and a solid structure.

Antinori Grappa Tignanello

Grappa Tignanello is obtained by distilling the pomace of Cabernet and Sangiovese grapes harvested in the Tignanello vineyard, located in the Tignanello estate, in the heart of Chianti Classico. The fermented grapes are transferred to the distillery immediately after the fermenting vats (racking) and then pressed. This procedure guarantees that distillation is carried out using only the best quality skins, rich in alcohol and especially in aromatic substances. A very careful selection of the different ‘lots’ of grappa resulting from the distillation of the different ‘lots’ of marc, and the best ones, the most balanced and aromatic ones. Grappa Tignanello is available in limited quantities.
