Allegrini – La Grola Valpolicella

Deep ruby red in color, La Grola has a wide and embracing bouquet with scents of wild berries, juniper, tobacco and coffee essence. Full-bodied and intense while maintaining its elegance, the wineis made from Corvina Veronese and Oseleta grapes grown on terraces. The high plant density and the resulting low yields add to the wine’s unique concentration.

Avignonesi Grifi – Rosso Di Toscana

Bright ruby red colour with aromas of ripe, red berry fruits, sweet cherries and undergrowth with underlying scents of eucalyptus and nutmeg, intertwined with subtle hints of dark chocolate. The flavour is round and full-bodied, with a tightly woven structure and an inviting, fruity core, leading to a long-lingering, balsamic finish. Grifi is a wine perfect for long ageing in the bottle.

Balthasar Ress Hattenheimer Schutzenhaus Riesling

Bright, crisp notes of apricot and wet slate are vibrant and refreshing. Pleasantly off-dry, this is the perfect choice for spicy Asian cuisine…or with soft cheeses.

Beringer Howell Mountain Merlot

Aromas of ripe blue fruits and nutmeg. Plush tannins, a distinctly robust structure and complexity make this an extraordinary example of this varietal.

Beringer Private Reserve Chardonnay

The Beringer Private Reserve Chardonnay is crafted with generations of winemaking expertise to create an expressive wine representative of the illustrious Napa Valley. Each lot is fermented separately in French oak barrels and then aged to elevate the complexity in the wine. The lees are stirred weekly to heighten the toast notes and full malolactic fermentation adds layered richness to the final blend. The luscious mouthfeel and elegant fruit core make this a true Private Reserve wine.

Bouchard Premier Cru Beaune Du Chateau

Nice dark garnet color with brown to mauve shades. Complex bouquet associating perfumes of jammy red fruit, fig, peony with a hint of chocolate. Harmonious and deep palate, with a beautiful maturity and dense but fine tannins. An attractive wine.

Brick Kiln Mclaren Vale Shiraz

Since the 2008 vintage Brick Kiln Shiraz has been made by Phil Christiansen on Foggo Road at McLaren Flat using two tonne open fermenters, basket pressing and maturation in oak for 18 months. The wine is released after 12 months bottle aging.

We believe that the quality of the wine harvested from the Nine Gums Vineyard is the result of meticulous vineyard and cellar supervision.

Champagne Collard Picard Prestige Brut

An eight-vintage blend starting with 2008 and going to 2015, with 65% being reserve wine plus a touch of solera-aged wine. Fermentation is in 72-hl oak casks, and the wines are kept on the fine lees for 12–15 months. 50% Chardonnay mostly from grand cru vineyards (Le Mesnil sur Oger and Oger), 25% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier from the right bank of the Marne Valley (between Épernay and Dormans). Quite a bit of evolution on the nose. Tense and well balanced with real creamy character. Love the tight bead. Really appetising and energetic. Refined. Nicely assembled. Bravo. No desperate hurry to drink this.

Chardonnay Novellum

Chardonnay shows up in some remarkable places but few as breathtaking as the Roussillon where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean. From vineyards just a stone’s throw from the beach and within view of the historic Mont Canigou comes Novellum, a refined, aromatic and elegant Chardonnay that is aged in tank and neutral French barrels.

Critical Acclaim

Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate RP92
A sensational wine that will compete with wines five times the price, the 2016 Novellum Chardonnay is the real deal and actually reminded me of a Chardonnay from Mark Aubert in California’s Sonoma County. White peach, crushed rocks, spice and brioche notes all emerge from this medium to full-bodied Chardonnay that has depth, layered texture and length. Buy it.

Colle Maggio Torre Zambra Montepulciano D’Abruzzo ‘Madia’

Ruby red color, with purplish glints. The clean nose profile shows berry fruits scents and jam aromas, with hints of violet and bitter liquorices in the finale. The wine is supple and warm, well-balanced, firm and pleasantly lasting in the mouth. It is an ideal food wine, perfect to pair with a wide range of dishes, easily drinkable and enjoyable every day.
