Penelope Cooper Series Rose Cask Finish

Penelope Rosé Cask Finish was the first release in the Cooper Series, a collection built around finishing Penelope’s straight whiskeys in wine casks sourced from notable winemaking regions. The Rosé expression uses hand-selected French rosé wine casks from the Southern Rhône, specifically associated with Grenache rosé. The bourbon is aged for a minimum of four years, receives an additional four-month rosé-cask finish, and is bottled non-chill filtered at 47% ABV / 94 proof. Penelope’s current product page lists a four-grain mash bill of 76% corn, 14% wheat, 7% rye and 3% malted barley.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Candied fruit with delicate floral and herbal notes.
Palate: Creamy vanilla and strawberry jam, with soft sweetness and a rounded texture.
Finish: Richer notes of leather and ripe berries with a touch of lingering spice.
