This Islay 2009 Caol Ila 9 Years Old single malt Scotch whisky is from French indie bottler La Maison du Whisky. It is matured in a refill butt for 9 years before being released as part of its Artist Collective series. Aroma: fresh peat, slightly neglected feeling of stable hay vanilla, citrus and fresh citrus. Taste: The palate is fresh, a little mentholated peat, lime juice with a little cereal, a few stones, then ash returns and more subtle peat at the end! Theres a little almond and its kernels, a little coffee in return.
