Clynelish 10 Year Old 2008 – Artist Collective Gift Pack with 2x Glasses

A rather attractive bottling of 10 year old Clynelish single malt, released as part of La Maison du Whiskys Artist Collective series. The whisky itself was distilled back in 2008 and matured in nine refill bourbon barrels before being bottled a decade later at 43% ABV. This release comes with a stylish box featuring the same artwork from the label (its the Artist Collective, after all!) and two tasting glasses.Profile: dynamic, very Clynelish, the initial nose is salty and saline. Allowed to breathe, it becomes candied and slightly medicinal (mustard). The distinguished attack returns to the salty, iodine and mentholated character of the nose. The mid-palate is exotic (pineapple) and liquorice. The long finish wavers between vanilla, dill and black pepper. It lingers with notes of chocolate and coffee.
