Glenglassaugh Octaves Peated

The peaty edition of the Octaves series from Glenglassaugh. Its smoky spirit aged in a selection of tiny 65-litre octave casks, themselves made from casks that previously held bourbon, port and oloroso sherry. Its a rich and sweet dram with balanced savoury peat smoke. For the second Batch of Glenglassaugh Octaves Peated, the distillery has used octave casks made from resized bourbon, Port and Oloroso sherry casks. This has helped to impart a wine-like sweetness to the expression, which is quite a bit different to the more bourbon-cask-matured style of the initial release.
