Monte Antico Bianco

Monte Antico was created by Neil and Maria Empson as a tribute to Tuscany, working alongside renowned Italian winemaker Franco Bernabei. Best known for its remarkably successful Toscana Rosso, the project has built its reputation around approachable, food-friendly Tuscan wines that offer serious quality without an intimidating price tag.
The blend brings together three classic Italian varieties. Malvasia contributes peach, tropical fruit, and aromatic richness; Vermentino supplies the distinctly salty, savoury character; and Trebbiano adds lemon zest and crisp acidity.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Bright straw yellow with youthful clarity.

Nose: Expressive white flowers, passion fruit, and citrus lead into peach and tropical fruit, with subtle vanilla and lightly toasted notes from the small portion fermented in French oak.

Palate: Soft and rounded yet refreshingly lively, with citrus and ripe fruit balanced by crisp acidity. Vermentino contributes a subtle saline quality, while Malvasia brings aromatic richness and Trebbiano keeps the palate bright. Gentle vanilla from the oak emerges toward the back without overwhelming the fruit.

Finish: Fresh and clean, with lingering citrus, flowers, subtle salinity, and a soft touch of vanilla.
