OZV Old Vine Zinfandel

Produced by Oak Ridge Winery, OZV is sourced entirely from the family’s sustainably farmed estate vineyards in Lodi. The region’s warm days and cool nights allow Zinfandel to achieve full ripeness while retaining natural acidity.

The 2022 blend is 80% Zinfandel, 10% Petite Sirah, 5% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot. The wine was aged for 12 months in a 50/50 mix of French and American oak. An extended September heat wave accelerated harvest, but the winery reports excellent fruit quality with strong concentration and intensity.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep ruby with purple highlights.

Nose: Blackberry, Bing cherry, raspberry and dark fruit with vanilla and cinnamon spice.

Palate: Full and plush, with ripe blackberry and cherry, generous oak spice and soft tannins.

Finish: Smooth and fruit-driven, with lingering vanilla, spice and dark berry notes.
