The Macallan Harmony Coconut

The Macallan Harmony Collection Inspired by Coconut is the sixth and concluding release in the Harmony Collection, unveiled in August 2026. The series began as an exploration of whisky, nature and more sustainable presentation, with previous chapters drawing inspiration from chocolate, coffee, Scottish meadows and tea. The Coconut release deliberately brings the collection full circle, returning the story to The Macallan Estate in Speyside.

Importantly, no coconut is added to the whisky. Instead, The Macallan's Whisky Mastery Team selected American oak casks naturally capable of producing pronounced coconut aromas. These characteristics come largely from oak lactones naturally present in American oak, allowing the team to draw an unusually clear coconut character from the interaction between whisky and wood.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh coconut leads with citrus and tropical fruit, followed by vanilla, sweet oak and gentle spice.

Palate: Creamy coconut milk is joined by zesty lime and soft sweetness, with tropical fruit and vanilla developing underneath.

Finish: Bright and floral, with lingering coconut, citrus and gentle sweet oak.
