Cavalo Barão Premium is produced in the Alentejo region of Portugal. The blend typically includes Aragonez (Tempranillo), Syrah, and Castelao. Fermentation is done in stainless steel (about 9 days), followed by 6 months aging in steel to preserve freshness.

This wine displays aromas of dark cherries, plums, and dusty red berries, complemented by touches of earth, spice, and subtle chocolate. On the palate it is medium-bodied and smooth, with red and dark fruit flavors framed by soft tannins and modest structure. The finish is persistent and approachable, with notes of smoked meat, thyme, and gentle minerality.
