Château Latour-Martillac Grand Cru Classé de Graves Red 2021

A benchmark among Pessac-Léognan wines, Château Latour-Martillac watches over a 54-hectare vineyard, of which 45 are dedicated to red wine and 9 to white. The property benefits from an exceptional location in the appellation. The Martillac plateau is composed of a mosaic of gravel dating from the Quaternary, including flint, quartz, lydian and jasper. These soils constitute the terroir of choice for Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Tasting notes: Deep purple color. The wine reveals an attractive nose with intense aromas of fresh black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry) with a touch of menthol and a hint of spices brought by the Petit-Verdot. In the mouth, the attack is silky and expressive. The fruit is beautifully fresh. The acidity is well balanced by fine and elegant tannins. The finish is complex and pleasantly long on spices. This is definitely a wine with a great aging potential. Optimal Tasting: 2028-2043 93 Points - NM, JL
