Château Giscours 2022 Margaux(PREORDER)

Château Giscours 2022 is a classic Margaux shaped by a warm, dry growing season that delivered small, concentrated berries with excellent phenolic ripeness. Careful vineyard management and precise harvest timing preserved freshness while capturing depth and structure. Vinification is carried out parcel by parcel, with temperature-controlled fermentations to extract color, aromatics, and fine tannins without excess. The blend, led by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and smaller proportions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, is aged in French oak barrels—approximately half new—for around 18 months. This élevage refines the tannins, adds complexity, and supports long-term aging while maintaining Margaux’s signature elegance.

Tasting Notes
The wine opens with refined aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark cherry, layered with violet, cedar, graphite, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is poised and structured, combining ripe dark fruit with finely grained tannins and fresh acidity. Notes of cocoa, tobacco, and gentle oak emerge through the mid-palate, leading to a long, polished finish marked by balance, precision, and the unmistakable finesse of Margaux.
