Edradour 13 Year Old Sauternes Small Batch

Edradour, one of Scotland’s smallest traditional distilleries, has earned a cult following for its handcrafted approach and its ability to coax immense flavour from small stills. This 13-year expression begins aging in standard oak before being transferred to Sauternes wine casks, where it gains its signature golden glow and dessert-wine richness. Bottled at natural colour and often at a generous strength, this small-batch release is prized for its depth and luxurious texture.

Nose:
Warm honeycomb, baked apricot, crème brûlée, and ripe peach drift up first. Subtle florals and sweet cereal notes follow, with a gentle drizzle of golden syrup.

Palate:
Velvety and full. Waves of candied citrus, poached pears, vanilla custard, and buttery pastry meet Edradour’s naturally weighty malt character. A touch of spice—ginger and cinnamon—adds lift.

Finish:
Long, warming, and dessert-like with lingering honey sweetness, white chocolate, soft oak, and hints of tropical fruit.
