Forty Creek Barrel Select Whiskey

Forty Creek is one of Canada’s most acclaimed whisky producers, founded in 1992 by renowned whisky maker John K. Hall in Grimsby, Ontario. The distillery helped redefine Canadian whisky by emphasizing craftsmanship, individual grain maturation, and innovative blending techniques.

Barrel Select is the flagship expression of the Forty Creek portfolio. Unlike many traditional Canadian whiskies, the individual grain whiskies—typically corn, rye, and barley—are distilled separately and aged independently before being expertly blended. This approach allows each grain to contribute its unique characteristics to the final whisky.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Rich amber with golden highlights

Nose: Aromas of butterscotch, caramel, vanilla, and honey layered with notes of baking spice, toasted oak, and dried fruit

Palate: Smooth and medium-bodied, with flavours of toffee, maple, vanilla, and ripe orchard fruit. Rye spice adds complexity, while oak contributes warmth and structure

Finish: Long and mellow, with lingering caramel, spice, toasted oak, and subtle sweetness
