Glengoyne White Oak

Glengoyne White Oak marks the first permanent core release from the distillery to be matured exclusively in American white oak casks. Departing from Glengoyne's traditional reliance on sherry-seasoned European oak, this expression is matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels and virgin American oak casks, allowing the distillery's naturally fruity and delicate spirit to shine. Bottled at 48% ABV without an age statement, it is the inaugural release in Glengoyne's Oak Masters' Series and highlights the influence of Quercus alba, the American white oak species renowned for imparting notes of vanilla, citrus, sweet spice, and creamy oak.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh aromas of vanilla cream, crisp red apple, lemon zest, sponge cake, ginger spice, light oak, and delicate floral notes unfold with remarkable brightness.

Palate: Smooth and creamy with flavours of crème brûlée, candied lemon, orchard fruit, vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, gentle baking spice, and hints of pineapple balanced by soft malt sweetness.

Finish: Medium to long with lingering notes of sweet vanilla, toasted oak, citrus peel, soft ginger spice, and warming caramel.
