Kavalan Peatist Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish

Kavalan Distillery, in Yilan County, Taiwan, has rapidly gained global recognition for its high-quality single malts, crafted in a subtropical climate that accelerates maturation and enhances cask influence. The distillery was established in the mid-2000s and has since become a standout in international whisky circles for its expressive, richly flavoured releases, many of which showcase innovative cask strategies.

Nose: Rich and inviting with sweet brown sugar, raisins, milk chocolate, coffee and sherry-soaked oak, layered under a whisper of peat smoke.

Palate: Complex interplay of tobacco leaf, leather, dried fruits and warm spices, with hints of vanilla and charred oak adding depth.

Finish: Medium to long, warming and intense, where rich dried fruit and spice linger with subtle smoky resonance and a touch of bitter dark chocolate.
