The 2022 vintage in the Willamette Valley began with a cool, wet spring that delayed budbreak and flowering. However, a warm, dry summer and extended autumn provided an ideal window for slow, even ripening. In the Dundee Hills, the red volcanic Jory soils and gentle slopes helped maintain excellent drainage and balanced vine stress. Chardonnay grapes benefited from this long hang time, resulting in wines with ripe fruit, lifted aromatics, and bright natural acidity: a hallmark of high-quality Oregon whites in 2022.

The 2022 Dundee Reserve Chardonnay opens with lifted aromas of lemon curd, white peach, chamomile, and wet stone, complemented by hints of brioche, hazelnut, and subtle vanilla from well-integrated oak. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and textured, showing layers of pear, citrus oil, and quince, framed by lively acidity and a mineral backbone. The finish is long and polished, leaving impressions of saline, baking spice, and crisp orchard fruit.

Serve chilled at 10–12°C (50–54°F) in medium-sized white wine or Burgundy-style glasses. This elegant Chardonnay pairs beautifully with pan-seared scallops, roast chicken with lemon and herbs, butternut squash ravioli, or crab cakes.
