Ridolfi 2020 Brunello

The vineyards are located on the northeast side of the Montalcino hill at about 300 m elevation, on soils rich in clay, marine fossils, and (in the higher parcels) alberese sandstone. Farming follows organic principles. Grapes are hand-harvested and vinified in separate lots, then aged in large Slavonian and French oak barrels for 36 months, followed by at least 12 months in bottle.

The nose reveals red raspberry, hints of laurel and peony, and a touch of orange peel on the edges. On the palate, the wine displays sapid, juicy tannins with a poised frame; the finish offers citrus and floral notes that linger delicately.
