Taylors Golden Age 50 Year Very Old Tawny is a special collectors edition of port that has been aged in oak barrels for five decades and is released in a very limited edition. alc. 20% Chestnut brown, copper colored core with a light golden rim. On the nose, the aromas are elegant, rich and very delicate. Think notes of rum and raisins, cloves, nutmeg and a hint of cracked black pepper. Plum, quince and apricot dance on the palate while lemon and orange zest provide a fresh acidity to balance the wines richness. Notes of scorched pineapple, passion fruit and lychee balance beautifully with the toasted coconut, almonds and butterscotch. The texture and weight of the wine envelop the palate and the finish ends bright, fresh and balanced. The wine lingers forever and invites more.
