Valenciso 2019 Reserva Rioja

Valenciso 2019 Reserva is produced entirely from Tempranillo grown in high-altitude vineyards in Rioja Alta, where limestone-rich soils and a temperate climate encourage balance and aromatic precision. The 2019 vintage delivered healthy fruit with excellent ripeness and freshness. Following careful harvest and sorting, fermentation was carried out under controlled conditions to preserve fruit character while achieving gentle extraction. The wine was then aged in French oak barrels to develop complexity and refine tannins, resulting in a Rioja that emphasizes elegance, structure, and a modern interpretation of the region’s classic style.

Tasting Notes:
Expressive and polished, the wine opens with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and plum layered with notes of cedar, sweet spice, and subtle vanilla. The palate is medium-bodied and well-structured, with vibrant red fruit supported by fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity. A long, savoury finish reveals hints of tobacco, cocoa, and dried herbs, showcasing both freshness and depth.
