Smokehead 15 Year Old

Part of the Smokehead range produced under Ian Macleod Distillers Ltd., this whisky reflects the brand’s adventurous spirit and unconventional approach to Islay malt. Although the specific distillery of origin isn’t publicly disclosed, Smokehead is celebrated for delivering intensely peated character and seaside influence. The 15-year-old marks the oldest officially aged expression in Smokehead’s lineup, matured predominantly in ex-bourbon oak and bottled at a balanced strength to showcase both peat and matured oak complexity.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Bonfire smoke with charred herbs and rosemary, salted citrus peel and vanilla sweetness borne on coastal brine.

Palate: Robust peat smoke balanced by zesty lemon and orange, buttery oak, caramelised barley and subtle spice, with hints of seaweed and maritime salinity.

Finish: Long and smoky with lingering citrus zest, coastal sea spray and warming oak spice, ending in a bold, savoury close.
