On the palate this whisky delivers dark chocolate and dried red berries, maraschino cherries and heather honey, layered with crystallised ginger, plum brandy and mocha. The finish is warming and refined, with lingering hints of leather, rich oak and subtle spice. Best enjoyed neat in a tulip or Glencairn glass so you can appreciate how the flavours unwind. If the strength feels bold, a splash of water will soften the edges and let more fruit and honeyed depth emerge.
