Bodegas Izadi 2020 Rioja Reserva

The 2020 Izadi Reserva is produced primarily from Tempranillo grown in hillside vineyards in Rioja Alavesa, where elevation and limestone-rich soils contribute structure and freshness. Following careful harvest and sorting, fermentation was carried out under controlled temperatures to preserve fruit purity and balance extraction. The wine was aged in oak barrels to develop complexity and soften tannins, followed by additional bottle maturation to harmonize its components. This thoughtful aging regimen results in a Rioja that balances traditional character with modern precision.

Tasting Notes:
Aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry, and plum are layered with notes of vanilla, cedar, and sweet spice. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, with smooth tannins supporting vibrant red and dark fruit flavours. Subtle hints of cocoa, tobacco, and dried herbs emerge on the long, polished finish, showcasing both elegance and structure.
