Benromach 22 Year Old Small Batch #1

Benromach 22 Year Old Small Batch Edition #1 is the inaugural release in a limited series from Benromach Distillery in Forres, Scotland.
Originally established in 1898 and revived by independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail in the 1990s, Benromach is known for producing a traditional Speyside style with a subtle smoky character. The whisky spent its full 22-year maturation in a combination of first-fill bourbon and first-fill sherry casks.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich raspberry, strawberry and cranberry with dried ginger, dark chocolate, orange marmalade and green apple, followed by gentle sweet smoke.
Palate: Smooth and fruit-forward with stewed apple, Seville orange, charred oak and strawberry liquorice.
Finish: Medium-bodied and lingering, with walnut, ripe fruit and a delicate touch of smoke.
