Berginger 2022 Luminus Oak Knoll Chardonnay

Beringer Vineyards is one of Napa Valley’s historic producers, and Luminus is designed as a fresher, more mineral-driven expression of Napa Chardonnay. The fruit comes entirely from Big Ranch Vineyard in Oak Knoll District, at the cooler southern end of Napa Valley. Heavy clay soils and cooling influence from San Pablo Bay and the Napa River help preserve acidity and freshness.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale gold with bright straw highlights.

Nose: Meyer lemon, citrus peel, apple blossom and jasmine with pear, almond and subtle baking spice.

Palate: Medium-bodied and creamy, with lemon curd, Asian pear and crisp apple supported by lively acidity and flinty minerality.

Finish: Long and refreshing, with citrus, saline mineral notes and gentle brioche.
