The Macallan Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary

The Macallan Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary Release arrived in February 2026, commemorating 55 years since the 1971 James Bond film starring Sean Connery. It continues The Macallan's official relationship with James Bond, following the six-bottle James Bond 60th Anniversary collection released in 2022.

There's a particularly fun detail behind the liquid itself. The whisky was distilled in 2007, or "2-007" as Macallan deliberately styles it, and matured for 18 years. Whisky Maker Russell Greig, himself a Bond fan, developed the expression around the film's central idea that not everything is as it seems, translating elements of the story into the cask selection.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Polished oak opens alongside vanilla bean and concentrated dried fruit, giving the whisky a mature but inviting first impression.

Palate: Creamy vanilla and caramel lead into cocoa-dusted truffle, coffee and layers of fig, berry and apricot. Gentle nutmeg and additional spice gradually build underneath the sweeter fruit and chocolate character.

Finish: Long, refined and warming, with lingering oak, dried fruit and subtle spice.
