4G 2014 Echo of G

Founded in Cape Town in 2009, 4G Wines takes an unconventional approach, sourcing fruit from select vineyard parcels across the Western Cape rather than relying on a single estate vineyard. The project was developed with renowned Bordeaux oenologist Denis Dubourdieu, bringing a Bordeaux-inspired blending philosophy to premium South African fruit.

The Echo of G is produced as a companion to the flagship G., with the final identity of the wine determined during blending.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep ruby-purple with a nearly opaque core.

Nose: Cassis, blackberry and black cherry with cedar, tobacco, graphite, dried herbs and gentle spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and concentrated, with dark berry fruit, fine-grained tannins and lively freshness. Subtle pepper, herbs and toasted notes add savoury complexity.

Finish: Long and structured, with lingering dark fruit, chocolate, spice and mineral notes.
