Black Stallion Limited Release Syrah

The 2018 vintage in Napa Valley was considered exceptional, marked by a cool, steady growing season with no significant heat spikes or early rain. A long hang time allowed for even ripening, resulting in wines with intensity, freshness, and balance. For Syrah, these conditions preserved acidity while allowing full flavor development and phenolic maturity, creating wines with depth, vibrancy, and age-worthiness.

Tasting Notes:
Bold, polished, and expressive, with aromas of blackberry jam, violet, clove, and grilled meat. On the palate, it is full-bodied and richly textured, featuring flavors of dark plum, blueberry compote, licorice, and smoked peppercorn, with underlying notes of vanilla, dark chocolate, and mocha from oak aging. The tannins are smooth and well-integrated, leading to a long, warming finish with a touch of earthiness and spice.
Serving Suggestions:
16–18Β°C (60–64Β°F) in large Syrah or Bordeaux-style glasses. Decant for 45–60 minutes to fully express its aromatic complexity. Best paired with grilled lamb chops, braised short ribs, pepper-crusted steak, or roasted eggplant with tahini. This Syrah can be enjoyed now or cellared for 5–8 years for further integration and depth.
