Cadenhead's Dailuaine 15 Year Old Chairman's Stock Cask Strength

With the last 4 years of maturation spent in a Fino cask, this whisky from Dailuaine distillery is deliciously savoury with notes of green olives, marmite, samphire. Rarely seen as a single malt, which allows independent bottlers to present this spirit to whisky lovers, Dailuaine spirit is heavy and meaty thanks to the long fermentation period, quick distillation and the use of stainless steel in the condensers. Based in Aberlour in Speyside, Dailuaine was once the largest distillery in the region and, although thats no longer the case today, capacity was increased by 25% in 2012. Nose: Green olives, peanut butter, marmite, ripe banana, cigar box. Flavour: Anchovies, tobacco leaf, seaweed, samphire. Finish: Honey, ginger, waxy fruit.
