The 2022 vintage in Tuscany was marked by a hot and dry summer, with water stress and high temperatures creating challenges in many parts of the region. However, Casanova di Neri’s high-altitude vineyard sites and precise vineyard management helped mitigate the heat’s impact. Despite reduced yields, the fruit was healthy, concentrated, and well-balanced, with notable aromatic freshness and ripe tannins.

The 2022 Irrosso opens with vibrant aromas of cherry compote, violets, and a touch of crushed herbs. The palate is fresh and medium-bodied, with notes of raspberry, red currant, and soft spice, supported by smooth tannins and a lively acidity. A whisper of graphite, dried rose, and subtle oak adds texture and character, while the finish is clean, floral, and delicately earthy. It's a youthful, food-friendly red that balances brightness with understated complexity.
