Cune 2019 Rioja Crianza

This Crianza is made from about 85% Tempranillo and 15% Garnacha & Mazuelo, primarily sourced from Rioja Alta. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel vats followed by approximately 12 months’ aging in used American oak barrels, giving balance between fruit and subtle barrel character. The 2019 vintage in Rioja was rated “Excelente,” reflecting very good conditions with plenty of ripeness and freshness.

The wine opens with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and dark plum, alongside hints of butterscotch, vanilla, and violet. On the palate it is medium-bodied and lively, offering flavors of red and dark fruits, subtle spice, and gentle oak influence, supported by smooth, rounded tannins and bright acidity, finishing clean and fruit-filled.
