Castello di Gabbiano traces its history to the 12th century and is one of Chianti Classico's most historic estates, located in Mercatale Val di Pesa between Florence and Siena. The estate's vineyards are planted across rolling Tuscan hills of alberese and galestro soils, producing Sangiovese with exceptional purity, freshness, and structure. Today, the winery combines centuries-old traditions with meticulous vineyard management to craft wines that express the distinctive character of Chianti Classico.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep ruby with garnet reflections.

Nose: Complex aromas of red cherry, wild raspberry, blood orange, cracked pepper, dried herbs, violet, vanilla, and subtle flinty minerality.

Palate: Full-bodied yet remarkably elegant, with flavours of ripe cherry, plum, red berries, baking spice, earthy herbs, and hints of leather. Fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity create a seamless, layered palate with exceptional balance and energy.

Finish: Long, savoury, and beautifully persistent, lingering with red fruit, spice, mineral notes, and refined Tuscan earthiness.
