Ippolito Mare Chiaro Ciro Bianco DOC

Ippolito 1845 is Calabria’s oldest continuously operating winery and one of southern Italy’s most respected producers. Founded over 175 years ago in the heart of the Cirò appellation, the family-owned estate has played a pivotal role in elevating the reputation of Calabrian wines through a focus on indigenous grape varieties and sustainable vineyard practices.

Mare Chiaro Cirò Bianco DOC is produced from Greco Bianco, a native Calabrian variety that thrives in the warm Mediterranean climate of the Ionian coast. The vineyards are located near the sea, where abundant sunshine is moderated by cooling maritime breezes, helping preserve freshness and aromatic intensity.

Colour: Pale straw yellow with green-gold reflections

Nose: Aromas of white peach, citrus blossom, and green apple layered with notes of wildflowers, Mediterranean herbs, and subtle mineral nuances

Palate: Light- to medium-bodied, with crisp acidity and flavours of lemon, pear, and stone fruit. Fresh citrus notes are complemented by a gentle salinity and clean mineral character

Finish: Bright and refreshing, with lingering citrus, floral notes, and a delicate coastal minerality
