JL Chave 2023 "Mon Coeur" CDR

Blended from ≈ 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre (plus small amounts of Cinsault in some sources) from mature vines (20-60 years old) in Southern Rhône terroirs (Villages like Vinsobres, Cairanne, etc.). Fermentation is in stainless steel, followed by aging in neutral oak or used barrels (~12 months), emphasizing fruit purity and structure.

Tasting Notes & Serving Suggestions:
This wine shows aromas of ripe blackberries, dark plum, and black cherry, complemented by notes of provençal herbs, black pepper, sandalwood, and subtle smoky minerality. On the palate it is medium- to full-bodied, with juicy red and dark fruit, firm yet polished tannins, and a finish that’s savory, layered, and long.
Serve at 16-18 °C (60-64 °F) in large red wine glasses. Decant for about 30-45 minutes when young to open up aromas. Best with grilled meats, roast lamb, game birds, or mushroom dishes. Drink now through 2028-2031 for best performance.
