Kilchoman 100% Islay 11 Year Old Sherry Cask Finish

Kilchoman Distillery, founded in 2005 on the west coast of Islay by Anthony Wills, has quickly built a reputation for farm-to-bottle single malts made using barley grown and malted on its own estate — a rare approach in the whisky world. It remains independent and deeply rooted in traditional production while also innovating with aged and sherry-forward expressions.

Nose: Bright orange peel and dried fruit aromas give way to currants and sultanas, a hint of light peat smoke, and sweet spice.

Palate: Complex layers of smoky BBQ sauce, dark chocolate with honey, cooked apples and a malty richness unfold alongside gentle spice and citrus sweetness.

Finish: Long and expressive with grilled fruits, plums and currants, and lingering wood smoke that balances the sherry-driven richness with Islay’s coastal influence.
