Le Repaire Lussac-St.-Emilion

Le Repaire is produced in the Lussac-Saint-Émilion appellation, located just north of Saint-Émilion on Bordeaux's renowned Right Bank. While often overshadowed by its famous neighbour, Lussac-Saint-Émilion shares many of the same clay-limestone soils and Merlot-dominant vineyard plantings, producing wines that offer exceptional value while retaining the structure, elegance, and ageing potential associated with the region. The wine is crafted predominantly from Merlot, supported by Cabernet Franc, a classic Right Bank blend that emphasizes ripe fruit, supple tannins, and aromatic complexity.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep ruby with garnet highlights.

Nose: Aromas of blackberry, black cherry, ripe plum, violet, cedar, and sweet baking spices, with subtle hints of tobacco and graphite.

Palate: Medium- to full-bodied, offering flavours of cassis, dark cherry, black plum, and cocoa supported by silky tannins, balanced acidity, and notes of cedar, vanilla, and savoury herbs.

Finish: Long and smooth, with lingering dark fruit, gentle oak spice, and refined mineral notes characteristic of the limestone soils.
