Stroppiana Langhe Nebbiolo

Stroppiana is a family-owned estate based in La Morra in the Barolo region of Piedmont, with a long history of producing classically styled Nebbiolo wines. The Langhe Nebbiolo bottling offers a more approachable expression of the grape while maintaining the structure and aromatic complexity for which Nebbiolo is known.

Fruit is sourced from vineyards in the Langhe hills, where calcareous clay soils and a continental climate contribute to wines with freshness, tannin, and aromatic lift. Compared to Barolo, Langhe Nebbiolo typically sees shorter ageing and is intended for earlier drinking, while still reflecting regional character.

Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel with traditional maceration techniques, followed by ageing in large neutral oak casks or older barrels to soften tannins while preserving fruit and terroir expression.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale garnet with ruby hues
Nose: Aromas of cherry, raspberry, and rose petal, with notes of dried herbs, spice, and light earth
Palate: Medium-bodied, with bright acidity and firm but refined tannins; flavours of red berries, tea leaf, and savoury mineral notes
Finish: Long and structured, with lingering red fruit, floral notes, and subtle spice

Cellaring & Pairings
Enjoy now with decanting or cellar for 5–8 years to allow further integration and development.
Pairs well with roasted meats, mushroom dishes, and truffle-based cuisine. Also complements braised dishes, charcuterie, and aged cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano.
