Tomatin Portuguese Collection Port Cask

Tomatin Distillery, founded in 1897 near Inverness, is known for producing a soft, fruit-driven Highland style that responds especially well to cask finishing. The Portuguese Collection is a limited series exploring the impact of Portuguese wine casks, with each whisky initially matured for over eight years in traditional oak before spending an additional seven years in specialty casks. The Port Cask edition specifically uses Tawny Port barrels, which impart a deeper, more vinous character, layering the distillery’s signature fruitiness with added richness and sweetness.
