Louis Jadot Beaujolais Villages

Maison Louis Jadot, founded in 1859, is one of Burgundy’s most respected producers, known for its commitment to quality and traditional winemaking across a wide range of appellations. While best known for its Burgundian Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Jadot also produces Beaujolais wines that reflect the character of the region.

Beaujolais-Villages comes from selected villages in the northern part of the Beaujolais region, where granite-rich soils contribute to more structure and depth compared to basic Beaujolais. The wine is made from Gamay, the region’s signature grape.

Winemaking often involves semi-carbonic maceration, a traditional technique that enhances aromatic freshness and fruit expression while keeping tannins soft. The style is approachable, lively, and intended for early enjoyment.

Palate: Light- to medium-bodied, with juicy red fruit flavours, soft tannins, and bright acidity

Cellaring & Pairings
Best enjoyed within 2–4 years of vintage to capture its freshness and vibrancy.
Pairs well with roasted chicken, pork, charcuterie, and lighter fare. Also complements vegetarian dishes, soft cheeses, and casual, everyday meals. Can be lightly chilled for added freshness.
